Korean striker Lee Yong-jae notched his second goal of the 2010-2011 French Ligue 2 season against Angers SCO on Friday as FC Nantes scraped a point in a crucial away match in Round 15.
The 19 year-old was deployed by Baptiste Gentili as the left midfielder in Nantes’ traditional 4-4-2 formation and provided a spark in his side’s attack as he combined well with his teammates — particularly Ronny Rodelin — while cutting in from wide positions.
Angers went ahead in the 20th minute following a go-ahead goal by Claudiu Keseru.
A loss could have pushed Nantes down to the bottom half of the Ligue 2 table, but the away side got a much needed equalizer in the 75th minute thanks to Lee who headed home a free-kick.
This was Lee’s second goal of the season after registering his first ever goal in a competitive match for Nantes last month against Chateauroux.
Nantes are now seventh in Ligue 2 — nine points behind the third place Evian TGFC.
3 points from the third place, not 9
Go Lee!
