Oita Trinita head coach Hwangbo Kwan has been unveiled as FC Seoul’s new manager on a two year contract.
The capital club had been looking for a successor to Portugese manager Nelo Vingada, who left the club earlier this month after leading them to the 2010 K-League title.
The 45 year-old former Yukong Elephants and Oita Trinita midfielder took his first steps into club coaching in 1999 when he joined the Oita coaching staff and he has remained with the club ever since. Hwangbo twice served as manager of the club, in 2005 and 2010, and has also held the role of U18 coach, head coach and vice-president of the side that finished fifteenth in the 2010 J2 League.
He will officially take up his new position when the FC Seoul squad return from their winter break on January 5th.
